Our story begins in the distant galaxy of Austeran, where Pyxis, a seemingly ordinary Star, dreams of adventure. His wish comes true when two mysterious asteroids arrive on his home island, turning his world upside down and plunging him into an epic journey. Welcome to my very first graphic novel, Finding Circinus.
I started creating Finding Circinus truthfully because I was going stir-crazy in the heat of the pandemic. I was very annoyed that one of the animes I was so excited about didn't hit the mark of what I was looking for. My wonderful husband asked me, “Don’t you have an idea for a cartoon?” I was like, “Kind of”. So he handed me some extra storyboarding pages I made for a project just in case I ever got any Ideas. Six hours later, I had a rough outline of Finding Circinus.
In this book and throughout the series, you will follow Pyxis and a colorful cast of Stars, planets, moons, and asteroids as he journeys across the galaxy of Austeran. A Classist hierarchy, a horde of deadly monsters, and his upbringing all stand in the way as Pyxis struggles to master his light, but can he do it and save everyone?
