The story
Finding Circinus is a cinematic fantasy about breaking free from a world that defined you, and learning how to survive the power you were never taught to understand.
Our story begins in the distant galaxy of Austeran, where Pyxis, a young Star restless with longing for something beyond the horizon watches the sky for a life he cannot yet name. When two mysterious figures rise from the sea and step onto his remote island home, the fragile order of his world begins to unravel, setting him on a journey far greater than he ever imagined.
Traveling alongside these unlikely companions, Pyxis must cross treacherous realms and confront ancient forces while a ruthless class of powerful Stars rule the galaxy from their lofty thrones above. As monstrous threats stir in the shadows and forgotten truths begin to surface, he is forced to confront not only the dangers around him but the power awakening within.
What follows is a sweeping adventure through luminous landscapes, hidden histories, and a vibrant cast of characters, where danger and wonder walk hand in hand and where magic lives in the very air they breathe.

Welcome to my very first graphic novel, Finding Circinus.
I started creating Finding Circinus truthfully because I was going stir-crazy in the heat of the 2020 pandemic. I was very annoyed that one of the animes I was so excited about didn't hit the mark of what I was looking for. My wonderful husband asked me, “Don’t you have an idea for a cartoon?” I was like, “Kind of”. So he handed me some extra storyboarding pages he made for a project just in case I ever got any Ideas. Six hours later, I had a rough outline of my story.
For a long time, I lived inside a world that told me who I was, what I was allowed to believe, and how my life was supposed to look. Leaving that world meant starting over without a map or guide learning how to trust myself, how to ask questions I didn’t yet have words for, and how to build meaning that felt true to me.
Finding Circinus is not a direct retelling of my life, but it carries the emotional truth of that experience. It explores that journey through epic fantasy, luminous worlds, and characters learning how to trust their own power.
I made this book for readers who love cinematic adventure but especially for those who have felt the mix of freedom and uncertainty that comes with realizing your life is your own to shape. I hope this story feels like an adventure, a discovery, and a reminder that identity isn’t something you’re given, it’s something you grow into.
